Who is Ronnie?
I practice Human Resource Management and M&E (with a special passion for Capacity Development; Organizational Learning and Transformation; Strategic Planning and Management; Decentralisation and Local Governance; Local Economic Development; Gender; Equity; Performance Planning and Management; Research, and Evaluation).
My life is a story of struggles that include some achievements and a number of failures from which I keep picking lessons and drawing energy to pursue a vision of being best, first to self and then radiate this to the world.
I have 23 years working experience that includes public (at local government including Administrative Officer and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer at Mpigi in 2000-2006; Principal Human Resource Officer at Mityana District Local Government in 2006-2011 and again 2013-2015; while also at Central government specifically Principal Human Resource Officer at the Civil Service College Uganda, in Jinja under the Ministry of Public Service in 2005 to 2023.
I also worked with the private (1998-2000) and Civil Society sectors in Uganda (since 2004), East Africa (since 2008) and IGAD Region (since 2011).
I currently head the Human Resource Management function at the National Building Review Board
(NBRB).
I am proficient in: Human Resource Planning; Recruitment and Selection; Capacity Development including Training of Trainers, Counseling; Mentoring and Coaching; Strategic Planning and Management; Institutional assessment; Decentralisation and Local Governance; Monitoring and Evaluation of Development interventions; Gender and Equity Responsive Planning; Budgeting and Service Delivery; Facilitating Organisational Learning and Development as well as Rapportuering especially at professional development events.
I am a contributing member (since 2004); and also, member of the governing board (since 2020) at the Uganda Project Implementation and Management Center (UPIMAC).
I am a member of the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda (HRMAU), the Uganda Public Sector Human Resource Managers Network (UPSHRNet) and the Uganda
Evaluation Association (UEA).
I am a member of Rotary International and is a club past president and is currently a member of the E Club of Victoria District 9214.
I am also a member of the Bible Society of Uganda and a life member of the Uganda Red Cross Society as well as a corporate class member of Express Football Club of Uganda.
I attended professional, specialized and skills enhancement training at: Makerere University (1998); The Law Development Centre, Uganda (2002); Uganda Management Institute (2001; 2006 and 2014); Uganda Technology and Management University (2015 and 2017); the Canadian Institute of Public Administration (2011); Zhejiang Normal University (2017); and, the EASUN Centre for Organisational Learning (2020-2021).
I am currently a PhD Scholar.
I enjoy sports, travelling and photography also has a passion for horticulture, agro forestry and ecotourism.
